Iranian hackers launched a cyber-attack against the Australian parliament with the intention to harm the Five Eyes Alliance [FVEY], the secret service alliance between five English speaking countries: the US, the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

6.7 earthquake Broome, Australia
July 14, 2019 - A shallow 6.7 earthquake hit northwest Australia Sunday afternoon 10 kilometres under the Indian Ocean west of the beach resort of Broome. It shook buildings for more than a minute over a wide area but causing no immediate reports of damage or injuries. ABC reported some minor damage.

Dec 31, 2019 - The bushfires in #Australia are so big they're generating their own weather, pyrocumulonimbus thunderstorms that can start more fires.
Pyro-cumulonimbus clouds have developed to altitudes over 16km in East #Gippsland which can spread fires through lightning, lofting of embers and generation of severe wind outflows.
