The school has made headlines after 5 black students were targeted with racial slurs left on message boards outside dorm rooms. Franklin was found guilty of 30 counts, including soliciting for child prostitution, sexual assault and kidnapping. Franklin recruited young girls and women, and forced them into prostitution.
