Costa Rica plane crash kills 12
Jan 1, 2018 - A small plane carrying 10 Americans and 2 local crew crashed in flames in Costa Rica, killing everyone on board. The Cessna crashed en route to Punta Islita on the Pacific coast.
Bruce and Irene Steinberg and their sons, Matthew, William and Zachary from New York and a Columbia University student perished, along with doctors Mitchell and Leslie Weiss from Florida. The other Americans killed were Amanda Rae Geissler and Gene Wing Szeto.
