Paris flooding
Jan 28, 2018 - Weeks of rainfall produced a rise in the water level, snow and rain push the Seine river to overflow. France has seen rain like this only 3 times in the last century. The Louvre museum has closed a lower gallery.

The waters are flushing rats out of their usual haunts below ground. Within Paris, the Seine runs in a deep channel which limits the effects of the rising waters. But in smaller towns along the river there are flooded streets.

Sarkozy deployed French warplanes during the uprising which overthrew Gaddafi in 2011. Sarkozy campaign benefited from millions of euros of illicit funds from Gaddafi. Sarkozy transported €5 million from Tripoli to Paris in 2006.
