Gazprom cuts gas to two energy firms in Denmark, Germany
June 1, 2022 Gazprom has stopped supplying gas to Denmark’s Orsted and Shell in Germany following their refusal to pay in rubles. Denmark has become the fifth country to be cut off from Russian natural gas following the refusal of its biggest power wholesaler Orsted to pay for deliveries in rubles. Supplies to Shell Energy Europe Limited in Germany have also been halted for the same reason. Europe deprived of gas supply route
October 1, 2022 Gazprom commented on damage done to Europe’s most important gas connector by alleged sabotage. Gazprom is searching for ways to get the pipelines up and running. The damage to Russia’s Nord Stream pipelines means Europe is indefinitely deprived of one of its key gas supply routes. The pipelines have puncture holes. Crimean Bridge blast
October 9, 2022 The truck driver might have been unaware that the vehicle was carrying explosives. The Crimean Bridge, longest in Europe, which links the peninsula to mainland Russia over the Kerch Strait, was damaged in an explosion. Russia said that a truck blew up. Three people, including the driver, were killed in the blast which temporarily halted traffic and led to a partial collapse of the highway section of the bridge. The truck crossed Russia’s southern Krasnodar Region dayd before the incident. Later, it went north for 6 hours on the night before the incident. Early Oct 8 it re-appeared in a village which is a 30-minute drive from the last place it was spotted. One hour later, it drove to the bridge and exploded. Truck was owned by Samir Yusubov, a Russian national. Yusubov claimed the truck was used by his uncle Makhir Yusubov.
