The worst one had a magnitude of 6.2, but none of the earthquakes did much damage because none of them hit heavily populated areas. For a long time scientists have acknowledged that a major Cascadia subduction zone earthquake is way overdue, and when one finally strikes the devastation that we could see in the Pacific northwest is likely to be off the charts. revolutionradio.org/?p=172149EndOfTheAmericanDream.com May 11, 2017 There are small quakes under 5 this week in NW Washington state too AND Hanford has an emergency nuclear dust released when a tunnel collapsed I speculated a lot of earthquakes caused it mehaf.freeforums.net/thread/196/washington

1964 Alaska 9.2 quake and tsunami Good Friday March 1964 a magnitude 9.2 earthquake occurred in the Alaska Prince William Sound. This occurred at 5:36 pm AST on Good Friday, March 27 and it lasted over 4 minutes. Across south-central Alaska, ground fissures, collapsing structures, and tsunamis resulting from the earthquake caused about 139 deaths. Soil liquefaction, fissures, landslides, and other ground failures caused major structural damage in several communities and much damage to property. Anchorage sustained great destruction to buildings, and infrastructure, bridges, paved streets, sidewalks, water and sewer mains, electrical systems. Some areas near Kodiak, 200 miles southwest, were permanently raised by 30 feet. Area near Portage dropped 8 feet, requiring reconstruction and fill to raise the Seward Highway above the new high tide mark. In Prince William Sound, Port Valdez suffered a massive underwater landslide, resulting in the deaths of 30 people between the collapse of the Valdez city harbor and docks, and inside the ship that was docked there at the time. A 27-foot tsunami destroyed the village of Chenega, survivors out-ran the wave, climbing to high ground. Post-quake tsunamis severely affected Whittier, Seward, Kodiak, and other Alaskan communities, as well as people and property in British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and California. Tsunamis also caused damage in Hawaii and Japan. Evidence of motion directly related to the earthquake was also reported from Florida and Texas. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1964_Alaska_earthquakeearthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/events/alaska1964I remember it. It was this earthquake which triggered me to follow quakes way back in the 60s. I looked it up and put it here

The Senate voted 50-48 to confirm Kavanaugh. Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski was a no, but voted present as a courtesy to Montana Sen. Steve Daines who was attending his daughter’s wedding in Montana. It would have been 51-49 had their votes been recorded. DiFi had threatened her to vote NO The Senate mafia!
