Navy lost confidence in Zettel's ability to serve as commanding officer. Bremerton returned to Washington state where it began its decommissioning process. Marines drill unblocking Hormuz
Sep 13, 2018 - US naval, air and Marine forces war game from Djibouti off the Horn of Africa coast in the Red Sea for a potential clash with Iran. They are focusing on Iran blocking the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea Straits of Bab al-Mandeb. Navy chopper crashed on USS Reagan
Oct 19, 2018 - Several sailors were hurt when their MH-60R Sea Hawk made an emergency landing shortly after takeoff in the Philippine Sea. All are in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries, but some personnel were medically evacuated to a hospital in the Philippines. The sailors' injuries ranged from minor cuts and abrasions to fractures.
