JERUSALEM, Israel Mar 1, 2021 – Syria media reported their air defenses were activated in response to an Israeli missile attack. Israeli media said the missiles targeted Iranian sites as retaliation for the blast on the Israeli-owned MV Helios Ray cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman on Friday. Israeli officials believe Iran is responsible for the unexplained explosion. The cargo ship is currently docked in Dubai for repairs. Mar 11, 2021 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may meet with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his first state visit to the United Arab Emirates. Netanyahu would meet with Emirati Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and then the Saudi Crown Prince would join them. Netanyahu met with MbS in Saudi Arabia in November 2020. Mar 17, 2021 Israeli experts announce magnificent and rare discovery in desert caves south of Jerusalem. A new series of ancient fragments of biblical scrolls was found perfectly preserved in a cave in the Judean Desert. The original Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered over 70 years ago. The newly discovered artefacts contain lines of Greek text from the books of Zechariah and Nahum, and have been radiocarbon-dated to the second century AD. They are believed to belong to a set of parchment fragments found in a site known as the Cave of Horror, where some 40 human skeletons were discovered during a dig in the 1960s. The original Dead Sea Scrolls are a series of ancient manuscripts discovered in the 1940s and 1950s believed to date from the third century BC and first century AD.
