Iran-Syria shot Israel plane
Feb 10, 2018 - In response to an Iran drone entering Israel from Syria, an F-16s were scrambled to conduct strikes in Syria. One pilot had surgery, is surrounded by family, still unconscious and connected to a respirator. A second pilot was lightly injured. The jet crashed into a field in the Jezreel Valley, northern Israel. Feb 12, 2018 - Israeli pilot downed by Syria out of intensive care. He continues to improve. His F-16 was struck by anti-aircraft fire. The pilot who ejected is out of intensive care and recuperating. His condition was characterized by doctors as “good,” and he is expected to recover from his wounds. Israel has 9 F-35s
Apr 2, 2018 - The Israeli Air Force has 9 of the F-35 Adir aircraft stealth fighters which have already carried out combat missions in Syria. Israel acquired them in August 2017 from the US government. Their Fifth-generation capabilities have been described by fighter pilots as much better than anything any pilot could have wished for himself.
