This presents a threat to Israel, and to other countries in the region. During the First Gulf War in 1991, Iraqis launched their Scud missile attacks on Israel and Saudi Arabia from Mount Sinjar. There are Muslims, Kurds and Christians there on Mount Sinjar. For years Iran wanted the mountainous Sinjar region which spans NW Iraq into eastern Syria. THIS is KURDISTAN! After Kurds drove ISIS out this year, Iran terrorists stole it and slaughtered Kurds. If you control the mountain, you can control the area.
