Manhattan blackout
July 14, 2019 - Skyscrapers dark on the 42nd anniversary of the 1977 blackout. Power outages leave parts of Manhattan, subway stations, Broadway theaters in the dark for 5 hours. The power went out at around 7 pm originally confined to the 30 blocks west of Fifth Avenue between 72nd Street and 42nd Street. It came back just before midnight. FBI investigating after MyPayrollHR, a payroll service provider based in Clifton Park, New York, shut down without warning last week. The abrupt closure came after paychecks started to vanish from the personal bank accounts of workers across the country. Paychecks were deducted from people's bank accounts after they had been paid.
