Trump ✔ @realdonaldtrump Ratings for NFL football are way down except before game starts, when people tune in to see whether or not our country will be disrespected! 5:28 AM - Sep 26, 2017 Donald J. Trump ✔ @realdonaldtrump The booing at the NFL football game last night, when the entire Dallas team dropped to its knees, was loudest I have ever heard. Great anger 5:35 AM - Sep 26, 2017 More context, from Zerohedge: President Trump continued his feud with NFL "kneelers" for the fifth consecutive day, when early on Tuesday he tweeted that ratings for NFL games are "way down except before the game starts, when people tune in to see whether or not our country will be disrespected." The president noted the boos heard when the Dallas Cowboys knelt before the national anthem Monday night saying there was “Great anger.” As shown last night... Jack Posobiec ✔ @jackposobiec Crowd erupts in boos as owner Jerry Jones and entire Dallas Cowboys team kneel live on Monday Night Football 7:33 PM - Sep 25, 2017 ... the Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones knelt before the anthem began, leading to boos from the crowd, but then stood as the anthem was sung. Trump then said that "while Dallas dropped to its knees as a team, they all stood up for our National Anthem. Big progress being made-we all love our country!" Following Trump's attack on Friday night in which he slammed on players who do not stand during the national anthem in which he said "wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, 'Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. He is fired", more than 200 players kneeled after his comments during games on Sunday. “Tremendous backlash against the NFL and its players for disrespect of our Country,” the president tweeted Monday evening.

redstatewatcher.com/article.asp?id=96712BREAKING! NFL Owner Threatens To Quit!9/26/17 By Amy Moreno The ONLY people who support #TakeAKnee are progressives, Black Lives Matter, and Hollywood elites. The rest of America is disgusted. A recent poll shows that a whopping 72% of Americans believe Colin Kaepernick’s stunt is “unpatriotic.” Yet, the NFL and progressives keep pushing this divisive and anti-American protesting. One NFL owner has had it. He told the Daily Caller it’s “horsesh-t” and he’s “f-cking livid” and will quit the NFL if #TakeAKnee continues. “I’ll give up football completely and find something else to do with my time if this continues,” said the owner, clearly fed up with the garbage coming from the divas in the NFL lately. more

redstatewatcher.com/article.asp?id=96845The NFL boycott is real. Look what's happening to this store9/27/16 Since Sunday when most Pittsburgh Steelers stayed in the locker room for the national anthem, Susan Moedinger, owner of Steel City Sports in the Rockvale Outlets, has heard from dozens of customers who are now boycotting her store. Rush Limbaugh, who is a big Steelers fan said he did not watch the NFL for the first time in 45 years. He said the NFL has lost its "mystique." From transcript: “I was so sad Sunday morning when all of this started falling out. I was not sad after Friday night when the president made his comments. And I had no doubt afterward what the reaction was going to be and I had no doubt where public opinion was gonna fall. And I had no doubt how people in the NFL from players to the commissioner to media people were gonna get it wrong, and they have, and they did. But if you’ll permit me first, I was personally saddened. I did not watch the National Football League yesterday, and it was the first time in 45 years that I made an active decision not to watch, including my team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was not a decision made in anger. It was genuine sadness. I realized that I can no longer look at this game and watch this game and study this game and pretend, you know, fantasize, everything a fan does. This whole thing has removed for me the ingredients that are in the recipe that make up a fan. The mystique is gone. That actually started vanishing a while ago. The larger-than-life aspect of it is gone. The belief, the wish, the desire that the people in the game were the best and brightest and special, and that’s why they were there, that’s gone. And it’s been politicized. It has been politicized and corrupted, and it didn’t start this weekend. It started years ago. I couldn’t predict this specific event, but my sadness actually began years ago when all of the attention focused on the danger and the supposed attempt to hide all of that, not specifically just the concussions. The whole aura that that created. The sports media began to criticize that which they report on. It just became politicized. It simply just became politicized. And the people politicizing it, since we’re talking about politics, the people that politicized it are people on the left. And when that happens, things change. It’s just over.”

They Caught Him!!9/26/17 Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin, who asked that politics be kept out of Football, has been exposed for hosting an expensive fundraiser for then Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016. A 2016 Article from CBS tells the entire story: CBSSports.com reported: Although Ben Roethlisberger has decided to keep his distance from Donald Trump, not everyone in the Steelers' organization plans to stay out of politics during the upcoming election season. As a matter of fact, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin will be putting himself in the thick of things on Tuesday, when he's expected to host a luncheon that will serve as a fundraiser for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. www.dailywire.com/news/21546/bipartisan-effort-strip-nfl-taxpayer-funding-joseph-curlBipartisan Effort To Strip NFL Of Taxpayer Funding For Stadiums Is Gaining Steam9/26/17 In today's highly fractured world, it's not often that lawmakers from the two parties agree on anything — which makes it all the more amazing that a Republican and a Democrat are working together to smack down the National Football League. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) have co-sponsored a bill that would strip any taxpayer funding for professional sports teams for building their massive arenas. The proposal, first put forward in June, is gaining steam on Capitol Hill after NFL players began kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality (or something). “Professional sports teams generate billions of dollars in revenue,” Booker said in a June 13 statement. “There’s no reason why we should give these multimillion-dollar businesses a federal tax break to build new stadiums. It’s not fair to finance these expensive projects on the backs of taxpayers, especially when wealthy teams end up reaping most of the benefits.” Said Lankford: “The federal government is responsible for a lot of important functions, but financing sports stadiums for multi-million — sometimes billion — dollar franchises is definitely not one of them. Using billions of federal taxpayer dollars for the subsidization of private stadiums when we have real infrastructure needs in our country is not a good way to prioritize a limited amount of funds."A spokesman from Lankford’s office told The Daily Caller on Sunday that "in the last four weeks interest in the bill has picked up since both members proposed it four months ago." The two senators said that since 2000, 36 professional sports stadiums have been constructed or revamped under financing provided by federal tax-exempt municipal bonds, costing taxpayers over $3.2 billion. While sports team argue that stadium construction is for the good of the community, the senators say “there is no statistically significant positive correlation between sports facility construction and economic development."The true cost is more like $7 billion, reported Watchdog.org. "Overall, taxpayers have spent nearly $3 billion on the 16 stadiums that will host NFL games during the season’s opening weekend. And over the past couple of decades, we’ve given NFL teams nearly $7 billion total in aid for their stadiums."The New England Patriots built the impressive Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., with $72 million in taxpayer cash. The Pittsburgh Steelers tapped taxpayers for $171.6 million, while the Indianapolis Colts grabbed $619 million in taxpayer subsidies. "Players on the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars, all who can potentially benefit from taxpayer dollars at the local, state and federal levels, followed the lead of former San Francisco 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick Sunday. They kneeled during the national anthem at a game against each other in London. Other teams stayed in their locker rooms for the anthem," the Caller reported.

finance.yahoo.com/news/san-jose-sharks-winger-weighing-151204099.htmlSan Jose Sharks winger weighing whether or not to be the first NHL player to kneel during anthemSeptember 27, 2017 National anthem demonstrations have been gaining steam throughout the world of sports. Numerous NFL teams engaged in pregame protests on Sunday, and MLB catcher Bruce Maxwell has been doing the same since late last week. Now, an NHL player is considering taking a knee in solidarity with these protestors. While San Jose Sharks winger Joel Ward has yet to make a decision, he said that his interest in the movement was sparked by personal experience. "It's definitely something I wouldn't cross out," Ward said, according to Paul Gackle of The Mercury News. "I've experienced a lot of racism myself in hockey and on a day-to-day occurrence. I haven't really sat down to think about it too much yet, but I definitely wouldn't say no to it." Ward, 36, was born in Canada to Barbadian immigrants and is one of approximately 30 black players in the NHL. The 10-season veteran said he first learned about racism while playing youth hockey in Ontario. "I had no clue what the words meant until my parents educated me about what was going on in my surroundings. I was just a kid who fell in love with the game and picked up a hockey stick. I didn't really look at it as color," Ward said. "As I got older and looked across the locker rooms and dressings rooms, I realized I'm the only black kid in the whole arena." National anthem demonstrations have been a major topic since last summer, when NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick took a knee in protest of racial and social inequality. Last Friday, President Donald Trump encouraged NFL owners to fire the protestors, spurring many more players to protest in defiance of the remarks. While some hockey figures have criticized the anthem protests, Sharks head coach Pete DeBoer insisted that he'll have Ward's back regardless of what the player decides. "I went to law school. I'm a big freedom of speech guy," he said. "Everyone has the right to message how they want to." The NHL will kick off its 2017-18 season on October 4. The Sharks are set to host the Philadelphia Flyers at 10:30 p.m. ET.
