North Korea Military Options April 20, 2017 - They're ALL bad. The sword stands ready. US VP Mike Pence warned North Korea that the U.S. would defeat any attack and meet any use of conventional or nuclear weapons with an overwhelming and effective American response. The problem is that while a military response may be inevitable, pending the actions of the crazy, fat runt running North Korea, none of the U.S. options under consideration are particularly good, specially for our allies in the region. The U.S. can drop bunker buster bombs on mountainous sites where nuclear tests have been conducted. Or we could intercept a missile in flight. USAF bombers and bombs are in theater on Diego Garcia military island. www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-04-19/assessing-military-options-north-korea-spoiler-alert-theyre-all-bad

Entire Senate being called to White House for North Korea briefing
4/24/17The entire U.S. Senate has been invited to the White House for a briefing Wednesday on the North Korea situation, amid escalating tensions over the country’s missile tests and bellicose rhetoric. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer confirmed the upcoming briefing, for all 100 senators, on Monday. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats plan to provide the update to lawmakers. It is rare for the entire Senate to be invited to such a briefing. Spicer clarified that while the event will take place on the White House campus, it is technically a Senate briefing and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is the one who convened it. The briefing, first reported by Reuters, was confirmed after President Trump earlier spoke to the leaders of both China and Japan. Trump spoke by phone with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Xi told Trump that China strongly opposed North Korea’s nuclear weapons program and hoped “all parties will exercise restraint and avoid aggravating the situation,” according to Chinese broadcaster CCTV. Trump hopes China could increase pressure on its isolated ally instead of using military options or trying to overthrow Kim Jong Un’s regime. more www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/04/24/entire-senate-being-called-to-white-house-for-north-korea-briefing.html

redstatewatcher.com/article.asp?id=756824/27/17 BREAKING: North Korea Is Preparing For War!
North Korea has conducted one of its largest ever military exercises, including live-fire artillery drills and firing weapons at mock enemy warships. From The Daily Mail: Kim Jong-Un's army readied for war as they fired rockets and torpedoes at mock enemy warships during North Korea's 'largest ever' live-fire artillery drills on Tuesday. Hundreds of tanks were lined up along the eastern coastal town of Wonsan in a show of military strength to celebrate 85 years since the North Korean army was created. Kim saluted the military as he watched the exercises on Tuesday, which involved the firing of more than 300 large-calibre artillery pieces and included submarine torpedo-attacks. Just one day later, South Korea conducted joint military live-fire drills with the US at Seungjin fire training field in Pocheon, South Korea, near the border with North Korea. And in a defiant bit of timing, South Korea have announced that key parts of a contentious US missile defense system have been installed. The South's trumpeting of progress in setting up the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense system, or THAAD, comes as high-powered US military assets converge on the Korean Peninsula and as a combative North Korea signals possible nuclear and missile testing. On the same day, a US guided-missile submarine docked in South Korea. And the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier is also headed toward the peninsula for a joint exercise with South Korea. The exercise took place as a US guided-missile submarine arrived in South Korea and envoys from the US, Japan and South Korea met in Tokyo to discuss the growing threat posed by North Korea's nuclear weapons and missiles program. Speculation had mounted that the North could carry out a sixth nuclear test or another missile launch to mark 85 years since the founding of its army.

redstatewatcher.com/article.asp?id=758684/29/17 BREAKING: U.S. Carrier Nearing North Korea!
Japan has released TV footage showing the USS Carl Vinson just several hours away from the North Korean Coast. From Zerohedge: After a mangled deployment of Trump's aircraft carrier "armada" during which miscommunication between the White House and the Pentagon meant the USS Carl Vinson would arrive off the North Korea coast weeks after what Trump had initially suggested, on Saturday Japan's public broadcaster NHK aired footage of the U.S. aircraft carrier sailing off the coast of Nagasaki prefecture in southern Japan, hours after the latest failed ballistic missile test by North Korea.. NHK said it shot the footage Saturday morning from a helicopter. Nagasaki is in Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan's four main islands. On Friday, the Vinson conducted joint training with two Japanese destroyers and two Japanese F-15 fighter jets in waters further south off the Japanese island of Okinawa. The USS Carl Vinson is heading north toward the Korean peninsula over rising concerns the Kim regime may conduct another nuclear test, one day after Pyongyang provoked not only the US but also China and Russia with its latest failed missile test. Since Nagasaki is just a few hundred kilometers away from the Korean coast, and less 800 km from Pyongyang (by air), it will likely reach its destination off the Korean coast during the next few hours. Meanwhile, according to AP, shortly after receiving notice that North Korea had conducted another missile launch, one of Tokyo's major subways systems said it had shut down all lines for 10 minutes early Saturday. Tokyo Metro official Hiroshi Takizawa said service was halted on all nine lines at 6:07 a.m. It resumed at 6:17 a.m. after it was clear there was no threat to Japan; the temporary suspension affected 13,000 passengers. Takizawa says it was the first time service had been stopped in response to a missile launch. Train service is generally suspended in Japan immediately after large earthquakes. Tokyo Metro decided earlier this month to stop for missile launch warnings as well.

April 29, 2017 Is This Stalwart Of Radical Left Wing Bias Setting Up America For An 'EMP Holocaust'? For Misleading The American People, The National Public Radio Deserves To Be Defunded
Submitted to All News Pipeline by Dr. Peter Vincent Pry National Public Radio (NPR) has for years been known for its radical leftwing bias, and uninformed commentaries on foreign and defense policy by kooks from academia. But the NPR propaganda mill recently reached a potentially dangerous new low, misinforming Americans on the threat from North Korea amidst the worsening crisis with that nuclear-armed dictatorship. On April 26, NPR interviewed Ambassador R. James Woolsey, former Director of Central Intelligence, who correctly warned listeners that the biggest and most immediate threat from North Korea is its capability to perform an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack by satellite, which could plunge the entire U.S. into a protracted blackout. North Korea currently has two satellites orbiting over the U.S. on trajectories consistent with making a surprise EMP attack. The Congressional EMP Commission, on which Ambassador Woolsey serves as senior adviser, estimates that a nationwide blackout lasting one year could kill up to 90 percent of the American people from starvation and societal collapse. (ANP: In the only video below, Dr. Pry recently joined John B. Wells on Ark Midnight to discuss the EMP threat to America.) NPR was not really interested in Woolsey’s warning about the North Korean EMP threat, the interviewer only commenting, "I never heard of that." Instead, NPR was interviewing Woolsey about President Trump’s first 100 days, fishing for some negative comment from the former Trump adviser, which they did not get. The next day, on April 27, NPR science editor Geoff Brunfield (who, according to his NPR bio, has a Master’s in science writing from Johns Hopkins University) interviewed EMP non-expert Jeffrey Lewis in a segment titled "The North Korean Electromagnetic Pulse Threat, Or Lack Thereof." Why Brunfield would interview Jeffrey Lewis about EMP, and not the vastly more knowledgeable former Director of Central Intelligence Jim Woolsey, is explicable only as a combination of incompetence and possible NPR bias against the "politically incorrect" EMP threat. Lewis opened the interview by laughing hysterically for nearly a minute at the warning by former CIA Director Woolsey and the Congressional EMP Commission that a North Korean EMP attack would have catastrophic consequences. According to Lewis, the 1962 Starfish Prime high-altitude nuclear test proves that EMP is relatively harmless because the Hawaiian Islands were not destroyed, merely damaged a little. And Lewis reassured listeners that, contrary to popular belief, cars would be little effected by EMP. more allnewspipeline.com/Dr_Pry_NPR_Takedown.php
