There has been a cold calm in northern Israel and southern Lebanon due to memories of the last war. Hezbollah sent thousands of fighters to Syria and Yemen and Gaza.  Trey Gowdy quits Congress
Jan 31, 2018 - Congressman Gowdy will exit Congress at the end of this year. S.C. Trey Gowdy will not seek reelection. Gowdy accepted the Chairmanship of the House Oversight Committee June 2018. Today he announces his intent to retire from congress and enter the justice department. Gowdy may be a candidate for a judgeship, or a U.S. attorney for South Carolina. There are 93 U.S. attorneys in districts around the country. Each attorney tasked with handling high-profile federal crimes, terrorism, drug trafficking, illegal immigration and public corruption.
