 ⚖️ 🇺🇸 SCOTUS Justices Assignments  November 21, 2020 Conservative SCOTUS Justices Assigned to 4 of 6 Contested Election States. The Supreme Court released the list of circuit assignments which shows conservative justices handling the circuits containing four of the six states where the Trump campaign has contested the election. Conservative justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett will handle emergency appeals from the election battleground states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin respectively. Liberal Justice Elena Kagan will handle the circuit containing the other two contested states, Arizona and Nevada. Trump campaign and third parties have filed challenges in all six states. SCOTUS is considering reviewing a Pennsylvania case that challenges the constitutionality of a Pa Supreme Court order which allowed officials to accept mail ballots up to 3 days after Election Day as long as they were postmarked on Nov. 3.
