Dec 8, 2020 Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward said she’s filing an appeal with the state’s Supreme Court to challenge the certification of the Nov. 3 election results. Ward filed an appeal with the Arizona Supreme Court on Dec. 4 to reverse the state’s certification. The court confirmed that it received her appeal on Monday, saying it would decide the matter without an oral argument. It came after a Maricopa County judge ruled that Ward’s petition failed to prove any fraud occurred when she tried to challenge the results in the county, which includes Phoenix. Nov. 30, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and AG Mark Brnovich signed off on Secretary of State Katie Hobbs’ certification of the election results. All 3 officials said they have seen no evidence of fraud that would overturn the election results in the state. The GOP’s lawsuit pertains to Maricopa County. Ward petition is asking the court to review 28,000 duplicated ballots, as well as digitally adjudicated ballots, that were cast in Maricopa County. Dec 8, 2020 The legal team led by Sidney Powell will appeal the dismissal of the Georgia election lawsuit by a federal judge on Dec. 7th, and proceed as fast as possible to the Supreme Court. U.S. District Court Judge Timothy Batten dismissed Powell’s lawsuit, opining that the plaintiffs have no standing to sue, should have brought the lawsuit to a state court, and had filed the case too late. “There’s no question that Georgia has a statute that explicitly directs that elections contests be filed in Georgia Superior Court,” Batten, an appointee of President George Bush, said in explaining his decision following an hour of oral arguments in court. “They are state elections. Dec 8, 2020 Some Georgia senators are pushing for a special session of the legislature to choose electors for President Donald Trump. What we’re seeing in Georgia is a violation of the law. There were votes from felons and others that weren’t qualified to vote that were counted, the laws regarding verifying signatures on absentee ballots were not followed, instead a consent order was followed which was not approved by the legislature, and that’s contrary to law and the Federal Constitution. 4 state senators drafted a petition calling for the special session, pointing to evidence of a systemic failure to observe state election code during the Nov. 3 election.
