April 15, 2019 - Libyan National Army jet shot down over Tripoli. A warplane belonging to General Khalifa Haftar’s troops was shot down by UN forces. May 27, 2019 - General Khalifa Haftar’s Libyan National Army (LNA) seeks to oust the UN from Tripoli, Libya. Saraj al-Majbri said they had made gains. They seek to take the airport, which has not been functional since 2014. Cargo planes are flying into bases controlled by Gen. Khalifa Haftar, dropping off unidentifed payloads. 2 Russian aircraft made several trips between Egypt, Israel, and Jordan before landing at Libya military bases. Libya talks
Jan 14, 2020 - Peace talks in Moscow bringing together the leaders in Libya. General Khalifa Haftar who commands the LNA met UN GNA Fayez al-Sarraj met with Russia and Turkey. Turkey sending UN-Libya weapons
Feb 19, 2020 - Libyan General Haftar LNA bombed Turk ship loaded with weapons at Tripoli port. The vessel had ammunition and weapons from Turkey for the militias of the crooked UN government. GNA suspended UN-brokered ceasefire talks in Geneva after attack on the port of Tripoli. Turkey was shipping in weapons of war to the enemies! UN doesnt want peace with the good guys! Ankara confirmed the ship was fired upon but was not hit. General Khalifa Haftar LNA has control of most of Libya - the good guys. Feb 26 2020 - Russia receives UN proposal on strengthening cessation of hostilities in Libya. The UN gave Russia a draft agreement on cessation of hostilities in Libya. Libya escalation
May 7, 2020 - UN and Turkey should GET OUTTA Libya!
UN GNA launch offensive to capture al-Watiya airbase. LNA of eastern-based Khalifa Haftar has been shelling the capital Tripoli, the seat of the UN GNA.
General Khalifa Haftar appears to have hired Druze fighters from Syria against the Tripoli UN government. USA behind LNA and Libyan General Haftar, as is France, Russia, Jordan, the UAE and other key Arab countries. The U.N. in Tripoli is backed by Turkey, Italy and Qatar.
Qaddafi’s son Saif al-Islam Qaddafi was freed in June, 2017 by the Abu Bakr al Siddiq Battalion which held him 6 years, evidently at Gen. Haftar request. Libya has been in turmoil since 2011 when 0bama killed Gen. Moammar Gadhafi, and Libya split between rivals in the east and the west.
