Oct 7, 2017 - Russia and Rojava YPG Kurd autonomy. After ISIS is defeated in Syria, Damascus says it is open to negotiating with their Kurds. YAY! Its the interest of Russia to help. Kurd SDF removed ISIS from most of Raqqa and most of Deir ez-Zor. The Assad regime also advanced into Deir ez-Zor. The Euphrates River has acted as a demarcation line for the separate areas of responsibility. A war between Damascus and the SDF is not in the interests of Damascus or Moscow. Russia has been trying to encourage Damascus to talk to the Kurds about autonomy for over a year without any success. Russia looks on the Kurds as allies. Oct 13, 2017 - Iraqi Kurds send reinforcements to Kirkuk. Thousands of Kurd fighters deployed to Kirkuk amid fears that Iraq govt forces want to take it. Kurdistan VP Kosrat Rasul said its responding to threats. Iraq PM Abadi said he would not use the army against Iraqi citizens, but convoys were seen heading towards Kirkuk. Voters in Kirkuk voted overwhelmingly in favour of secession. Kirkuk is an oil-rich province claimed by both the Kurds and the Iraq government. Its majority is Kurd. Kurds need USA help against IRGC Zalmay Khalilzad, US ambassador to Iraq, called on USA to support the Kurds against Shiite militias in Kirkuk. Hashd Shaabi Shia militia is led by Iran RGC to takeover Kirkuk. Iran PMF militia is using USA Abrams tanks to attack the Peshmerga Kurds. Oct 19, 2017 - Iraq Court issued an arrest warrant for Kurd VP Kosrat Rasul for correctly describing the Iraqi forces in Kirkuk as invaders. Iraq claims Rasul incited violence against Iraqi forces - which invaded Kurdistan! VP Rasul was in Kirkuk when the Iraqi forces attacked, many Peshmerga Kurds were killed. VP Rasul accuses certain PUK leaders of fall of Kirkuk, calls them apostates. Iran conquered Kirkuk in a lighting advance that shocked Kurdistan. What are being called Iraq forces are actually Iran IRGC and could include Turks and ISIS.
