Syrian Kurds deal with Assad
Oct 16, 2019 - Damascus has much to gain from deal with Kurds, but its ability to halt Turkey's push depends on Russia. Kurds in northern Syria announced a deal with President Bashar al-Assad to allow Syrian troops to deploy along the border with Turkey. Kurd SDF commander Mazloum Abdi said his people were forced into an alliance with Syria and Russia. Abdi said if we have to choose between compromise and genocide, we will choose our people. The Russian and Syrian regimes have made proposals that could save the lives of millions of people who live under our protection. Turkey considers some Kurds terrorists. Kurds know who is Kurd!I hear Turk-Syria Kurds treated strongly different than Iraq Kurds. I am trying to figure out WHY. It appears the 0bama mafia tagged ISIS 'kurd' and Syria Kurds have so many differing groups we dont know who is who. Christians were driven out of Syria by ISIS. They may have relocated in Turkey, and Turkey now wants them back in Syria. Assad wanted the Christians to return. Russia secures another US outpost in Syria
Dec 26, 2019 - GOOD. Russia is helping President Assad so US forces can leave. Russian military policemen secured a village near Raqqa, formerly occupied by US troops, as Moscow continues to patrol strategic areas along the Turkish-Syrian border. They arrived at Tal Samin north of Raqqa earlier this week. ISIS had occupied it. Tal Samin lies near a strategic highway intersection that connects Raqqa with central and northern Syria. Turkish military conducted movements in the Idlib de-escalation zone during the night without informing the Russian side and came under fire.
