Nov 2, 2018 - Kuwait arrests 2,900 foreigners in YUGE human trafficking case. 90 taken into custody admit they paid imaginary companies that signed contracts with government agencies, so they can work in Kuwait illegally. Owners brought workers with fake work visa status to Kuwait. A Syrian was the mastermind. Pompeo in Gulf States
Jan 14, 2019 - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with Qatari SecGeneral Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, upon his arrival at Doha airport. Pompeo said that a rift between Qatar and its Gulf Arab neighbors had gone on for too long and was threatening regional unity needed to counter Iran. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt cut diplomatic and trade ties with Qatar in June 2017 for supporting terrorism and Iran.
