Rules change for judges nominees
Feb 7, 2019 - Senate GOP rules change to reduce the time it takes to confirm hundreds of President Trump's nominees. Most nominees would only be subjected to 2 hours of debate after they clear an initial hurdle. The Senate is expected to take up William Barr's attorney general nomination this month and other Cabinet fights await.

Bill Cosby in prison
Feb 8, 2019 - Bill Cosby in prison 4 months, and his family hasn't visited him.
He doesn't expect his wife, Camille, or their daughters to visit him.
Camille filed an ethics complaint against the judge last year, accusing him of bias in the case.

The prison is 20 miles from the family's estate in Philadelphia.
Cosby doesn't want his family in that environment.
Cosby was moved to the general population last week after spending four months in special housing. He now has a single cell in a two-story unit.

A jury last year convicted Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in 2004. Judge Steven O'Neill sentenced Cosby to 3 to 10 years in state prison. He is appealing the conviction.

Coast Guard cocaine bust
Feb 8, 2019 - The U.S. Coast Guard seized 35,000 pounds of cocaine from drug smuggling vessels in international waters. The drugs were intercepted off the coasts of Mexico, and Central and South America and off-loaded in Port Everglades, Florida.

Six different crews seized the drugs from 21 separate vessels stopped in Pacific waters. The haul was the result of interagency coordination.
