Losartan recall
Feb 27, 2019 - FDA issues another nationwide recall for blood pressure medication. The tablets, which are 100mg/25mg, have been recalled due to an impurity that could cause cancer. The FDA is recalling more blood pressure medication. The medication continues to be Losartan, which has been involved in several other recalls, however this time it's Macleods Pharmaceuticals Limited that is issuing the recall.

Dec 23, 2018 - Blood pressure medication recalled due to impurity. Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd is voluntarily recalling 2 lots of Losartan potassium tablets, due to trace amounts of an impurity.

The impurity is N-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA a )carcinogen.
Losartan is used to treat high blood pressure, hypertension and for nephropathy in Type 2 diabetics.

Feb 26, 2019 - India - Pakistan attacks escalate. India airstrike in Pakistan-Kashmir targeting terror camps. The overnight raid was the latest escalation between the nuclear rivals since a Feb. 14 terror attack in Kashmir which killed 40 Indian soldiers.

Pakistan has denied involvement in the attack. Jaish-e-Mohammad Pakistan claimed responsibility. The bomber was a resident of Indian Kashmir. Indian fighters targeted Jaish jihad terror camps. Intelligence indicated another attack was being planned.

Kashmir belongs to both India and Pakistan. 90% of Kashmir population are Muslims.

Pakistan claims it shot down 2 Indian warplanes, captured two pilots, and conducted six airstrikes against ground targets on the Indian side.
Both sides dispute many of the details.

Pakistan is ready to return captured pilot to ease India tension. Pakistan planes locked their targeting radars on 6 Indian ground targets, but then fired into empty spaces. Pakistan doesnt want war. Both nations are nuclear.

India-Pakistan conflict in Kashmir is a major headache for China & USA.
Kashmir is threatening to boil over into open warfare. There are reports of both India and Pakistan moving tanks to the border and closing down schools.

India claims Pakistan has done nothing to crack down on the terrorists who suicide attacked Pulwama killing 42 Indian officers earlier this month. Pakistan responded by shooting down a plane.
